WeWt!! So Awesome!
So some of you might remember that we (myself and Dave) donated art to the GCFA (Greater Chicago Ferret Association) for their show earlier this month. Anyhow, I sent a message to Dara asking how the art did for them at their raffle...this is what she said...
"The art brought in over $100 for the shelter. The raffle brought in $1500 and the auction brought in $1000, so your art was a good portion of the amount receiving tickets! It was so beautiful, thanks so much for donating them to the raffle."
I am thrilled! Another member of my forum (who also went to the show) said...
"The show was great and everyone loved your prints. Everybody wanted one. I put tickets in for the oriental one but alas I didn't win. Rats! To bad you don't live in Illinois. You could probably have sold a lot of them. "
Maaaan....I think we (myself and Dave) can make a mint selling! We hope to have something at least started before the end of the year and expect to be in full swing by the new year. I think I tore my rotator cuff on my left arm, so for now I am kind of having to not use it. And doesn't it figure that I am left handed. @__@ So yeah, it hurts....but I cannot take a chance on making it worse, so for now we will get things sorted then get to working on the art stuffs.

Hahaha, more food? Seeing how you're more of an expert than I am, you'll probably find something out.

10% of an auction's proceeds is pretty impressive, Mim. I'm glad that worked out so well for you.
It's funny to hear the kids are gaining weight...I'm trying to unload it for winter. :-P

Re: WeWt!! So Awesome!
I'm glad things went so well at the raffle! And art is a good way of bringing in money as far as I know. And it's a fun hobby. =3 one of my mini-projects has been putting up a webcomic of sorts. It's really just my anime club manga submission, all in one place. But if somehow, word gets out, and it gets popular, I could make some money for school off of selling art and merch and stuff! So I'm kinda hoping something happens there, though it prolly won't.
On the topic of the kids, glad to hear they are doing well! What are you trying to do to help them gain weight?
On the topic of losing weight, once Jen and I aren't feeling so sick we're going to keep ourselves on a nice workout schedule. I have gained more pudge than I like to think about, atop the original pudge I never liked. @_@

Re: WeWt!! So Awesome!
I wasn't planning on doing art for the GCFA, but when she asked me in a private message, I felt kid of weird rejecting....so I said sure. lol I am glad I said yes. Looks like when we do go live with our Etsy shop, we will be selling a lot. =3
The kids are doing ok for the most part. However none of them are wanting to gain weight, it appears a few are LOSING weight. Ugh. That's ok, I will keep at it. I give them chicken or turkey soup (home made usually...not "normal" soup) and I mix in some heavy cream. The heavy cream is a good way to get them to bulk up. Now if only they would listen. lol
I need to get Nobu and Bear to the Vet ASAP! So we are trying to sell our Wii (with extras naturally). We get bites, but no one to buy it. -__-

Oh yeah, the heavy cream should help, and I bet that tastes nice, too. Is the chicken still all nice and fatty for them, too? I wonder why they aren't gaining weight...
What's wrong with them? D= and I hope it sells soon, I hate just "bites"...and good luck with the shop! x3
